I have vision and the rest of the world wears bifocals
D Listed has alerted me to the fact that today is Paul Newman's 83rd birthday, and I think that deserves a special mention.
Newman was Clooney and Pitt rolled into one before Clooney and Pitt even existed. Easy on the eyes? Check. Sense of humor? Check. Cool Hollywood friendship with a similarly likable actor? Check. Good deed doer? Check, check, check.
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid was my family's favorite Saturday afternoon movie when I was a kid, so I adore Newman based off that one film alone, but I also love him in Cool Hand Luke, of course, and The Sting.
Happy Birthday, Paul Newman. And here's to many more.
Enjoy a little Butch Cassidy knife fight action after the jump.

Comments:
Not to mention he has a sense of style (Paul was the best dressed guy of the mid 60's) only rivaled by Steve McQueen...made the ultimate movie about alcohol and despair (The Hustler) long before Leaving Las Vegas...owns a racing team (also a professional racing driver to boot)...makes a helluva salad dressing...and is (duh), a phenomenal actor. But Paul Newman's greatest contribution to the world? The movie Slapshot. THE funniest sports movie EVER.

There are just too many reasons to love Paul Newman.
And hells yes on the salad dressing thing. His salt and pepper pretzels rule, also.

Let us not forget that he is also STILL married to the same beautiful woman, Joann Woodward. Now that in Hollywood is almost a myth!

He was just so pretty. Sigh.

The prettiest ever (except maybe for Olivier in "Wuthering Heights"). Lemonade's good, too!
