arrow Are you ready to Rogue?

The Web site for this year's Rogue Festival went live this week, giving us our first glimpse at the two-week fringe festival has in store when it starts on Feb. 28.

You can peruse the 80-something shows already announced at your leisure -- just look at the site's far right column. In my own brief look at what's scheduled, it seems like there are a lot of Fresno-centric shows this year. For example:

Some other stuff I'm already looking forward to:

Let's hear it, y'all. What Rogue shows are excited for?

Am I the only one who heard "Come on - Rogue. Let your body move to the music. Hey, hey, hey!" after looking at the Rogue poster?

Yes? Well, you're all gonna hear it now, by god.

There are so many good performances participating this year, the visual art is really stunning and I really can't wait to get this Festival started! :-)

I really hope I can make it to every show!

The Rogue Festival still needs some additional volunteers.

Volunteers get a pass to a Rogue show for each shift worked and are able to purchase a Rogue t-shirt for our cost of only $10 ($20 regular price).

I'm excited about the Rogue as a general happening. It seems for that week-and-a-half, the world is what what it should be (in my private utopian dream)and it's all happening right here in Fresno. People working their tales of for the love of it. Performers giving it there best. People stepping out of the safety of the 'known' and checking out shows---cuz the shows are so money-cheap and happening all one after another and such. It's a real high.
--hey,and that Fresno'sprawl' show ...I'm sure I'll check that one out!
---also Kien Lim---back again from London.
---P.C. Munoz and Mia Pashal are both back from S.F.
...there's more...just go over to roguefestival.com
and browse. It's sort of fun...click on the show names on the right and you see the little promo pix and a synopsis of the shows...

Does anyone know if or when the "Rogue Maps" will be available, and where?

Thanks!

Ernie, our first blast of Rogue Maps have already gone out, you won't see more until the Festival begins. Those maps will include the grid of the shows performing as well. Your be now is to go to www.roguefestival.com and check out those dates and times.

Dude, I'm so glad I found your blog! My sketch group (Dynamite Kablammo) is coming up to Fresno to perform at Rogue, and now I know where to find all the cool things to do while I'm in town! And PS, totally come see us while we're here too.
