Aging fictional archaeologist makes the cover of Vanity Fair
Shia LaBeouf and Harrison Ford grace the February cover of Vanity Fair in anticipation of May's release, Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull. The article also includes pictures of Shia with Karen Allen (who played Indy's love interest in Raiders of the Lost Ark), and Cate Blanchett, who plays a character new to the films.
There's no story here, really - I just really like Indiana Jones. Also I wanted to be the one to do the very first Beehive post of 2008, no matter how pointless the post. So suck it, Osegueda! (You too, Mr. Culture + More.)

Comments:
Can't wait for this! I'm gonna ask for the time off of work tomorrow so I can blog the #$%@ out of the Fresno opening.
I also hope they can spin Shia into his own Indiana series. I think he's ready for it.

Is it me or does Cate Blanchet look a bit creepy in that pic?

I finally read this article in VF, and Fresno gets a shout-out as a location for filming.
Of course, we all knew that, but it's nice to see it in print.
I highly recommend reading the article (don't buy the mag - just read it in the bookstore) - Lucas and Spielberg have set my mind at ease about what the new movie will be like. Hint: Old school!
Oh, and Michael: The only thing that creeps me out is that Cate has Suri Cruise's hair.
