With a song in your heart
How many times have you been sitting on the couch and thought that you could sing better than those people on reality television shows? If the answer is even "once" then you had better get off the couch and down to the Fresno Art Museum.
Auditions are being held on Halloween at the facility at 2233 N. First St. for the next season of the TeleFutura series "Objetivo Fama."
“Objetivo Fama” features young Hispanic singers in a competition in which the winner gets a recording contract with a Latin music company. Competitors from Fresno have been on the reality show the past two seasons.
Registration starts at 7 a.m. Preliminary judging is set for 9 a.m. The judges this year will be Fernando Allende, Lunna and Carmen Jara.
Don't talk youseelf out of going to the tryouts. Two contestants from the Fresno market were on the show both last year and the year before. There is plenty of musical talent here. Just make sure you can sing in Spanish. The show is for a Spanish-language network.
Fresno is one of 10 cities across the country where the auditions will be held. Tryouts also will be held in Puerto Rico, where the show originates. But you don't want to go that far for a chance at stardom.
Information about the series, eligibility requirements and the entry information are available at Univision.com.
