I'll be gone 'til November, I'll be gone 'til November ...
Dear Beehive fam:
When this blog entry publishes, I'll be on vacation for three weeks, off to wedded bliss and margaritas in Mexico. Though, like a parent leaving for a trip, I had to make a list of 10 things you guys need to do while I'm gone.
1. Go to some shows
There’s good stuff happening while I’m gone, such as …
- Oct. 19: The Pack at Crossroads
- Oct. 19: Avett Brothers at Hanford Fox Theatre
- Oct. 27: Honeycut at Crossroads (it’s KFSR’s Evening Eclectic En Vivo II. FYI: No. 1 was awesome)
- Oct. 28: The Good Life at The Cellar Door
- Oct. 31: Thurston Moore at Howie and Son’s
2. Party for Halloween
I’m sure you know of a party somewhere, if not check out my last Post No Bills for some tricks and treats.
3. Watch out for Andy Samberg trying to punch you when you eat lunch
4. Don’t forget about Mezcal
Remember, Visalia band Mezcal might turn up on Fox’s “Next Great American Band” show, which premieres this week. Tune in to see if the Valley music scene is represented and give me a report.
5. Check out some new tunes
Here’s some of what’s new on my iPod, check em out: Chromeo, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, The Cool Kids, Sugar and Gold, Alice Smith, Josiah Bell, Blu & Exile, Pugslee Atomz and that new Jay-Z song. Not this one. The other one.

H-Mac and Donald are totally awesome. And have you noticed we have a new blogger among us? Yeah, The Beehive still rules, sans me.

Our pal Mikey Seay is killin’ it lately at his new site, thefresnan.com. Check that out. Of course, Famous is always interesting. And I’ve been checking out edluv’s blog frequently too.

Do NOT check work emails while you are gone for three weeks. Don't do it, not even once. If you do, it won't end. Walk away...the Beehive might be lonely and a little less hip without you (sorry kids, loving all of you) but it will go on.
After day 2 or 3, it won't hurt to not look at the computer ha.
