arrow My summer vacay in Las Vegas

las%20vegas.jpgSo I just walked in the door from a long weekend in Las Vegas, and the very first thing I am doing is posting on the Beehive. Dedicated.

I had a great time in Las Vegas with some of my friends from high school. It's been a good three years or so since we've seen each other (weird, since we were in high school only two years ago. *cough*), and we had a great time catching up and seeing the Vegas sights.

I thought I'd share with you some of the pictures from the trip. It was a pretty action-packed and crazy weekend, so I didn't take a whole lot, but I think you can get a pretty clear understanding of exactly what went down this weekend. (Click on the photos to enlarge. Photo credit goes to Britten Johnson, Cori Schmidt, Kristal York and Sheila McCall.)

Here are Britten, Kristal, Cori and I. We stayed at Kristal's parents' house, so I owe Jim and Sheila a big THANK YOU. (Rachel, we missed you!)

Here I am downtown on Fremont Street. Old-timey! The casinos on Fremont still spit out real change when you win cash out whatever you have left.

My friends thought it would be funny if I posed with one of these cardboard cutouts. The really funny part? There were no guys willing to step up and pose with me on the male half of the cutout. That made me laugh until I cried. And cried. And cried some more when I got home later that night.

For some reason, everyone thought it was fitting that I pose in front of this sign. I still don't see why.

Here I am at some cheesy "Mexican" restaurant on the strip. For being a chain, this place had really good salsa, and deliciously cold beer. It was my second favorite meal of the trip. The number one favorite was the all-you-can-eat buffet we had Friday night at the Sunset Station. If it wasn't for that 2-hour dining limit, I'd still be sitting in the same spot getting down on another plate of crab legs.

On Sunday, we took a bus called the "Deuce" down the strip so we wouldn't have to walk or drive. This story and picture isn't very interesting, but the name "Deuce" reduces me into a fit of giggles every time, so it's in.

Here I am outside the Paris hotel and casino.

And here I am across the street from it.

This is inside the Bellagio. The flower displays there are always gorgeous.

I still love Caesar's Palace no matter how many Celine Dion pictures they have everywhere.
14.jpg

Ahhh.... the gondolas at the Venetian. So cool. I love the canal.

As you can see, I had a great time. Sadly, I didn't manage to get a picture of the Wynn. If you haven't been there, I recommend it. It was by far my favorite hotel/casino, and not just because I actually won money there. ($2, suckas!)

As great as my mini holiday was, it's always good to be back home I guess. Viva Fresno!

That picture I took of you and the Eiffel Tower rocks my world.

I'm not sure I would call that weekend action-packed and crazy. More like stress-free and relaxful. Action-packed and crazy is when I walked in the door at home. :)

All in all, fun times. Didn't realize how much I missed you Feather!
