arrow ROGUE RECAP: The reviews

rogue2007.jpgFriday update: Just two more days to go in the Rogue Festival. This is where you get down to crunch time: Should you see that show that everyone is talking about? Or should you take a risk on something new and different?

Remember that as crowds grow these last two days, it pays to get to venues early. Breezing up two minutes before curtain and expecting to get in might leave you disappointed.

To help you come to some decisions, here's our updated list of reviewed productions on The Beehive. Because of the structure of the site, it isn't always easy to find them in one easy clump. So we've compiled the links on this thread so you can easily see if a show you're interested in has been reviewed. (A tip to those who want to do it the long way by navigating the Beehive: Go to the archives button on the right-hand side and click "go" next to March 2007 for access to all the Beehive entries for the month, which includes everything from this year's Rogue.)

Shows continue through Saturday, with One Big Rogue Party 10 p.m. at Starline concluding the festivities.

As we head into the second weekend, remember that we want to hear from you: e-mail us your reviews or post a comment on our open Rogue thread on the Beehive.

20 shows??? Dang!!! Big, fat, mega Kudos to the Bee Review Worriors on getting out during the Rogue and informing everyone that not only does culture exist in Fresno... but that a majority of the talent at Rogue 2007 calls this place home!

Cheers and remember Wednesday till Saturday is it for this edition of the Rogue. Then keep the momentum going by supporting local arts... YEAR ROUND!

No, big fat mega kudos to Donald Munro, for doing a big old chunk of that.

I second Marcel's mega-kudos - it's almost like being there! (And Mike you're doing plenty, don't worry.) Now how the heck can we get people to read these blogs, tho???? Or is it that people are reading and not commenting? Other than the few the proud Bee blog readers? Nice to see Rogue set up a link front and center - hope that generates traffic. All this excellent work should not go unnoticed.

Hey, it is much appreciated. We had a great turn out last night for Complete History of America. Vini's was packed, standing room only. Had many people tell me they came cause they saw the review/paper. Thanks for the feature.

Donald Munro is perhaps the King of Rogue this year, taking on and seeing more shows than anyone! It takes a lot of people to make this festival work, thank you to the Beehive for putting the time and effort into helping up spread the word!

Bravo!

Hey, I second (third?fourth?) the idea that the team
of munro and osegueda were a big part of the equation this year. Big thanks!
