Don't Hate 'Cause He's a Superstar
Everyone's picking on Fresno's finest son, Kevin Federline, this week: The hip-hop community, the blogosphere, me and Paula Abdul. Now guess who's jumping in? The Fresno Grizzlies.
The Grizzlies have put together "K-Fed Night" for Saturday night's game against Sacramento. They're allege it's a tribute to K-Fed, commemorating his rise to music stardom. Say that with a straight face.
The first 3,000 fans through the gates will get a free K-Fed temporary tattoo, that spells out K-Fed in old-English lettering. There will also be a few interesting video tributes to Mr. Britney Spears and some skits, as well. (We can't give everything away).
Before you accuse the Grizzlies of jumping on the bandwagon, you should know the salute to the second greatest rapper to ever attend Tenaya Middle School (shout out to Chuck Dimes at No. 1) has been in the works for a month. The timing is just impeccable, considering the train-wreck that was his TV debut on Sunday's Teen Choice Awards.
For the record, if you go to www.kevinfederline.com, you can hear the studio version of his single "Lose Control" in all it's glory. You know, if you need to punish your ears or something.

The Grizzlies won't say some of it. And I don't want to blow the surprises. But who doesn't want to go to a K-Fed tribute night?
Heck, I'm down to start a K-Fed tribute band.
