Am I alone in lauding the new "Fresno Bee" appearance? I am visually impaired, but the new type font and spacing, more white space, cleaner page look, all add up to my being able to read the "Bee" and not be visually stressed.

I want to know if Community Hospital has on it's board of directors four members, appointed by the Fresno County Board of supervisors, why those members have not reported back to the supervisors, the trouble the hospitol is in Who are they? Do they attend regularly both the hospital & county meetings.
Your coverage so far has been trashing Community

I'm very surprised that the Fresno Bee does not have an article regarding the filibuster and Bill Frist's "nuclear option"(as of May 18th). I looked in the national section of the wegpage and there was nothing. This is an important issue to our country and the people of Fresno should have access to information regarding this issue from a local newspaper.

you Fresno st. fans actually think you have a chance. Be HONEST , you guys haven't played anybody worth mentioning. you guys barely beat Hawaii and USC routed them. You guys are going to come to a loud coliseum. You have a lot of spirit but it won't help your team win. Your players sound very confident, but remmembetr what happened to Oklahoma when they said that USC was overrated; 55-19; and not that close. Be happy if your team can stay close.

Huge Fresno State Fan. Go Dogs. If we are tied at half-time against USC that is victory. A lot of SoCal recruits will be watching. We will put up a good fight!! Go Red Wave.

I am a USC Trojan wife by marriage, but a Fresno State Bulldog for life. Living in a USC household, I see how POSITIVE my husband and thhe school are of a WIN. It would be fantastic if the Dogs win, but I will be happy if they put up a great fight! It would be even better to but the Trojans in a kennel where they belong.

Well, lose to the #1 and #7 teams by 11 combined points and only get the Liberty Bowl. No justice or respect. Burns my rump!

After tonights performance, I would like to see the Fresno
State team erase the "V" on the back of their helmets. I have, even though being a San Jose State alum, been a big supporter of Fresno State Football, because I have felt they have represented the Valley very well, but after tonights dismal performance, I would just as soon they confine their representation to Frenso, and not imbarass the entire San Joaquin Valley with their ineptitude. They just played very bad football.

trying to restore the faith and honor of our program, what does that mean? all the team did was fall short the last two games of the season, ( and I will be the first to agree the team did not look good ) but there is one thing that people need to understand, and that is players play and coaches coach, I have never seen coach Hill take a snap or thow a pass or catch a touchdown, Coach Hill and his staff are a long way from the 6-6 season in 1997

Dwayne Wright will help Fresno win the WAC next year.

I'm a true Bulldogs fan and appreciate that the Fresno State Bulldogs have garnered success over the past several years to allow them to be on Southern California television frequently so I could watch the games. I think Pat Hill has brought success to the team, but he needs to do 2 things to take it to the next level: 1) Take care of teams you're supposed to take care of. The team is no longer afraid of playing powerhouse teams, but I predicted that they would have a hard time with Nevada because it was a step down for them from USC, but I was really surprised by the home loss to LA Tech. The coaches are completely to blame for this embarrassing collapse and they should have been more prepared for this, and 2) replace Dan Brown as Defensive Coordinator, Fresno State has always had a good offense and in the last 3 losses Fresno State did score at least 28 points in every game, but if we actually could stop the other team from scoring, we would have a better chance of winning if our offense struggles, Brown needs to go! If Pat Hill can't win the WAC outright in the next couple of years, he should be replaced.

Pat Hill is coaching to the best of his abilities, and his staff is as well. The question is: are we all okay with that, and can we wait for a lucky, break-through year? I say we should all be patient with Pat! I am an LA guy, and I know that SC and UCLA can not make the good citizen and student claims that Pat can. Sure, Reggie and Matt are great PR for SC, but you don't have to look much further down the roster to see criminal behavior and marginal students being publicized by our local newspapers. Even the Bruins, who have made a nice return to having decent young men on their team, have recently embarassed themselves again (felony arrest involving car accident and alcohol/drugs, leaving the scene). Don't forget that UCLA got their butts kicked twice this year (Arizona and SC smacked them by a big score). Pat just needs to work harder on being agressive in the WAC games. Communicate a sense of urgency. These kids are smart, they will get it! By the way, it is okay to "boo" Pat Hill. If he wants to be loved, I am sure his family can supply plenty of it. If he wants applause, stop having your team lay eggs against inferior WAC opposition!!

I traveled up from Florida to the Liberty Bowl and as a 84 grad. I'm proud to tell folks I'm an FSU fan and alum. Pat Hill needs a pay raise, the conference championships will come. Liberty Bowl payed $1.5m according to some news articles. Now that I've staked the high ground some points to ponder: Defense...too many line stunts, and sell out blitzes. Two plays come to mind, against Nevada FSU had Reno pinned down on the their own goal line...they stunted the tackles, Reno ran a trap and 20 yards later their tailback was finally tackled. On previous downs they had played gaps and stuffed the run...why the change? Fast forward to last Saturday, game on the line, 2nd and long with about 1:00 left, FSU sends both middle LBs on a run blitz, they are stuffed at the line, QB out sprints the DE and game over. Offense....Paul throw the ball away when cover two has the receiver bracketed...too many ints to the underneath cover...remember the USC end zone int and the one in the flat against TU? Offense....TU was packing 8 men up the entire 2nd half on 1st and 2nd down...FSU very stubbornly called runs on the majority of those downs...how about some more play action? How about a few more spread formations aka the Patriots to widen the gaps then run the TB. Offense..limited attempts to isolate our talented receivers against TU's(height challenged) CBs...only saw one post throw the entire game, it was a TD. Recruiting needs....speed at LB, shifty RB. Good luck Dogs! Hope Pat doesn't go to the NFL...the grass isn't any greener there...ask Tice, Sherman, Capers etc.

There seems to be a "molester or child pornographer of the week" recently. Does internet pornography fall under federal jurisdiction or local, and if this is suspected, what triggers the initiation of a search warrant to verify?
Can a citizen who suspects this initiate a search warrant, and what probable cause is considered evidence?

TELL ME WHY! The fastest player on the team, who will be drafted in the first round and was recruited to Fresno State as a kick/Punt Return Specialist. Please tell me why coach Baxter won't let Marcus McCauley touch the ball?

Its time for one or two of the senior players to step up before the game against Hawaii. They need to have Hill and the rest of the coaching staff leave the locker room 10 minutes before entering the field. Give a pep talk like never heard before, them walk out onto the field, turn to the Fresno fans and say the Dogs are alive and barking and we have our bite back. Them go out on the field and hit hard and play like a team. Its the players and not the coaches that need to wake up and become true DOGS

It is not surprising that Fresno State is in the current state of affairs. When Pat Hill went "fishing" for a job in the NFL last year, every player on the team and potential recruit knew deep down inside (whether they would admit it or not) that Hill's committment to FSU was not what it used to be. The players are now exercising the same reduced committment. It may get worse. The time for Hill is over, it is now time to go.

Coach Hill has been great however, like any employee, they are evaluated on their accomplishments each year. With that being said, no company that has invested so much into its program like Fresno State has over the last couple of years can logically keep Coach Hill for his 11th year. The pinnacle of this program under his leadship has been reached in my opinion. Please handle with respect and let him go on to greater things, before we take any more athletic and more importantly financial steps back with this program.

This is pretty funny but seniors deserve the right to have fun not just young people. I might not know who the siger was but the older people did. The seniors sounded like they were young again but they are young in heart.

Prior to playing Tulsa in the Liberty Bowl, "Ben" wrote that we were a long way from the dismal, 6-6 season of 1999. With the advantage of hindsight, I must admit that the writer was correct. In fact, 6-6 would have looked a lot better than 4-8.

After reading all of the comments so far, I must respectfully disagree, somewhat anyway. I believe he is a very talented individual and enjoys what he does.
However he needs to create his own image, rather than another Frank Sinatra or Bobby Darin. He really has a great voice, but is certainly not a comedian. I believe the Seven-11 could have been kept under wraps, and the hand signs given back and forth on the stage could have been left out.
He really did seem very arrogant at times. We have seen Celine Dion and she is the most humble performer I have ever seen. Michael just seemed to be very much "into" himself.
